Our alumni
ELC alumni continue their studies and their lives in a variety of ways after the ELC. Many of our former students study in undergraduate programs at UMBC. Others go on to complete Master's degrees or PhD programs at UMBC or other universities. Finally, several students take their new English language knowledge and ability and return to their home countries to work or study. All our alumni remember the ELC as "their home away from home." What will your story be?

How to support the ELC
There are many things you can do to support the mission of the ELC. For example, you can
- volunteer as a Conversation Partner
- volunteer as a tutor
- recommend our programs
- donate books and magazines for our student library
- offer housing for international students
