The ELC Language and Computer Lab
The ELC provides all students with a state-of-the-art language and computer lab to learn English while taking courses and participating in cultural activities. In accordance with our mission, the ELC Lab provides a space for the study of language and culture for both students and teachers.
Our facility contains enough computer stations for all our language classes. Each station is constantly updated with the latest language software for students to develop skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Instructors use the lab with students every week, so technology is an integral part of students’ experience at the ELC. 
Computers are connected to the university network for easy access to your files from different labs, and all the lab computers have the latest software for Windows and Macintosh platforms. All computers in the lab have high-speed Internet connection so students can have easy access to a variety of online resources. For class viewing and practice, this facility is equipped with a projector, with which instructors monitor students’ progress and show individual work on a big screen. Our onsite technical team is always ready to assist students and teachers when needed. Technical support is available within the lab, by phone or email making this area the best place for students and instructors to work on assignments and projects.
Additionally, students can use open lab time for personal as well as academic activities. Most students enjoy using our lab because it provides a safe environment for learning new technology that is applied into each course. The lab is equipped with chatting software (MSN, Skype), cameras and headsets to allow students to communicate with their home countries and friends around the world. The lab is open for ELC students from Monday to Friday during our academic year.
As a leader in new media, the ELC is constantly looking for new technologies to enhance the language experience and to empower students to be ready for work or academic endeavors.
