Student Recruitment Agents
The English Language Center is interested in collaborating with student recruitment agencies to assist international students to study English and experience campus life in the U.S.A.
We offer students and professionals many unique, high-quality programs in both English language and intercultural communications training. The ELC is known as “a home away from home.” This can give you an idea of the kind of services your students can expect at the ELC. The main goal of our excellent staff and faculty is to assist the students throughout the whole learning and acculturation process, providing assistance before they arrive in the US, and while they are here assisting them on all matters that relate to their living and educational experience.
The ELC offers many benefits to students. Here you can see some of them:
- Six levels of English courses for international students
- Full-time intensive courses to develop all language skills
- Placement test and individualized assessment of the student’s proficiency
- Interaction with students from all over the world
- Individualized free tutoring and academic advising
- Weekly interaction with an American Conversation Partner
- Use of state-of-the-art language lab
- Participation in field trips and cultural activities
- Conditional admission to UMBC undergraduate programs for eligible students (no TOEFL required in these cases)
- Access to UMBC campus services, facilities and resources

- Easy access to metropolitan Baltimore, Washington DC, and the East coast
