Immigration/Visa

Please read the following information carefully as there are recent changes to the student visa application process.

When you receive your I-20 acceptance packet, it will include information and a form for paying the SEVIS 1-901 $200 fee. This fee is required of all students applying for an F-1 visa. The fee must be paid prior to your appointment at the U.S. Embassy or consulate. Please allow at least four weeks for the U.S. government to process this fee.

Additional information about the SEVIS fee, including instructions completing the form and paying online can be found at http://www.fmjfee.com/

Once you receive the receipt from your SEVIS I-901 take it along with your I-20 and acceptance letter to the U.S. Embassy or consulate.

F-1 (full-time) students are responsible for understanding the regulations and rules concerning their visa, as noted on page 2 of the I-20 form. A student advisor is available to assist IEP students with questions about immigration regulations.
