IEP: Intensive English for students and professionals, beginning through advanced levels
AEP: Academic English preparation for students who wish to enter UMBC or another U.S. university,
high-intermediate through high advanced levels
TUITION FEES
- F-1 students pay a one-time, non-refundable application fee of $100. to apply for an I-20. (Fee includes express mail delivery of I-20.)
- F-1 students are required to purchase UMBC's mandatory health insurance.
- Approximate cost:
- Fall & Spring: $600 to $750 per semester
- Summer: $400 to $450 per semester

Part-Time Study
Available for U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and others with U.S. visas that allow part-time study.
(Note: Part-time study is not available for students with an F-1 visa.)

Students may choose classes from the Intensive English Program or the Academic English Program -- see dates above.
Part-time students may apply until classes begin, if space is available.
