A conversation partnership involves an ELI student and a UMBC student meeting on campus for conversation and cultural exchange. Many partners meet every week for an hour of casual conversation or to participate in an on-campus activity together.
Any ELI student may request to have a UMBC student as a conversation partner, but please note that a conversation partner is not guaranteed and does depend on the number of UMBC student volunteers each semester.
To participate, complete the application below and return it to the ELI in UMBC's University Center building, room 207, or by e-mail.
