This three-credit course introduces students to the fundamentals
of engineering. The course has two fifty-minute lectures per week, and a
weekly two-hour discussion / computer session. One of the primary focuses
of the course is the design project, in which the students go through the
product development process, which includes: product research, product design,
product analysis and evaluation, and product presentation. The course content
