Short Biographical Sketch
I graduated from UMBC last year and joined Johnson and Johnson and conducted research in the area of cardiovascular medical devices. I grew up in Bangalore which is now the silicon valley of India. I got my B.E. (1996) from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore, India. I got my MS and Ph.D. degrees specializing in cutting tool mechanics. The best part of UMBC is “It has a Big University Research Impact in small university environment. It has fantastic faculty who do cutting edge research in many areas giving us the opportunity to compete, step up and progress in our careers”. I am grateful to my advisor Dr. Anjanappa and Department of Mechanical Engineering for providing me with the opportunity to achieve my career goal. I can definitely say that the stay at UMBC were the most enjoyable years of my life.
