Short Biographical Sketch

Dr. Mahendra Jha is currently serving as the Senior Scientist and Head of the Centre for Armament Design Analysis and Simulation in ARDE, a premier establishment of DRDO, M.o.D., INDIA. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Bihar Institute of Technology, Sindri and M.Tech. in Design Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has more than 15 years of experience in the design, engineering analysis, prototype development and testing of the state-of-the-art mechanical systems for defense applications. He has extensive knowledge of design and structural analysis of the fiber reinforced composite materials. Specialized in CAD/CAE technology, specifically Finite Element Analyses and Design Optimization, he has worked as principal engineer for design and development of rocket and missile warheads. Presently, he is the Program Director for the Cannon Launched Missile Development Program of DRDO, INDIA.
