Short Biographical Sketch
Dr. Nitin Salunke received his B.S. degree in 1989 from the University of Poona, India, and his M.S. degree in 1991 from the University of Oklahoma. He joined the UMBC Ph.D. program in 1991, and received his Ph.D. in 1996 at UMBC.
Dr. Salunke joined W.L. Gore & Associates in 1996, working at Flagstaff, AZ. In 2000, he moved to Gore’s Sunnyvale, CA plant. He is currently a Product Specialist, and has successfully launched two medical products into world wide use: the Helex septal occluder and the Excluder bifurcated Endoprosthesis. Dr. Salunke’s has published several journal articles and progress resports.
