Short Biographical Sketch
Dr. Rajkondawar received his BS and MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Amravati (India) and University of Bombay (India) in 1996 and 1998, respectively. He joined the doctoral program in the Mechanical Engineering Dept. of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in Fall 1999. He completed his Ph.D. degree in 2003, while conducting research in the area of characterizing the novel force plate named as Reaction Force Detection (RFD) system to detect lameness in dairy cattle. Dr. Rajkondawar joined Bou-Matic in March 2003. He is currently leading the efforts at Bou-Matic to commercialize the RFD into world dairy market. Dr. Rajkondawar played a key role in establishing the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Student’s Association.
