Short Biographical Sketch

Yuefei Wu was born in 1964, in Yangzhong County , an island in Yantze River , Jiangsu Province, China . He got his earlier education including elementary and middle school in the rural area near his home. In 1978, he was chosen to enter Yangzhong County High School and studied there for 3 years. In September 1981, he went to Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dong Hua University , formerly China Textile University , Shanghai . Upon graduation with honor from the municipal government in 1985, he started his postgraduate study in the same department. The focus of study is Kinematics, Dynamics and Synthesis of mechanisms. After getting M.S. degree, he began his professional career in city of Nanjing , then Shanghai . In August 1994, he obtained an assistantship from Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and came to UMBC with Dr. Anjanappa as advisor. He obtained his Ph.D. degree at the end of 1997. In September 1997, he was hired by Ford Motor Company and has been working there ever since, now he is working in KBE Systems, Product Development Systems, Ford. He has worked as application engineer, system analyst, programmer, and application specialist.
Dr. Wu is married to Shaohua Zhai, with a daughter Alice.
