Dr. Panos,

I don't know if you remember but I was a student last year at UMBC. I took your finite element elective course in 2005. I am currently working at Maryland Precision Spring in Baltimore. Our company is looking for a starting mechanical engineer to work with disc springsas a Product Engineer for Rolex Disc Springs Division. If possible, can you send out an email to the UMBC mechanical engineering list to see if anyone is interested in this position.

Responsibilities include desiging and quoting custom disc springs,
optimizing manufacturing processes, helping Quality with engineering
issues, and dealing with customers when problems arise. It is a great
starting position where you learn a lot about manufacturing components and gives you a wide exposure to different kinds of applications. Anyone who found the Solids lab or the manufacturing class interesting would like this job.

Our website www.rolexspring.com, contains information about our comapny and products. Rolex Disc Springs was originally located in New Jersey and recently relocated to the Maryland Precision Spring facility in March. Any help on this would be appreciated. Regards,

Gaurav Kumar
