Research Areas

Mechanical behavior of flexible structures, ranging from a living wheat crop to lightweight space structures. Basic research on effects of wheat gene mutations on crop wind tolerance and fungal disease resistance. Industrially sponsored studies of structural fatigue due to thermal and mechanical cycling, environmental degradation, and/or impact damage.
