Research Areas

My research interests lie in two areas: mechanism science and virtual reality applications. The former focuses on developing computational tools and computer-aided software for the design and analysis of rigid body or elastic (compliant) mechanisms and robots in macro, micro and nano size. In particular, Dr. Su is interested in the design and prototyping of mechanisms and robots for specified motion requirements. The latter involves applying advanced virtual reality techniques such as immersive displays, haptics in assisting product design, education and training.
