English alumni have gone on to careers in teaching, writing and publication, medicine and law, business, journalism, social work, and information systems. The English Alumni Society (EAS) is comprised of English graduates who want to maintain an active relationship with the English department.

Over the years the Society has organized book discussions, theatre outings, literary- themed tours, and many other events. Its signature activity is the Departmental Reception and Career Panel every March where alumni, faculty, staff, and students socialize and hear from English alums about career options for future graduates.

The EAS also organizes a get-together every year at Homecoming, often featuring discussion of a literary work. To keep members informed of EAS activities, the Society publishes a semi-annual newsletter, Turning Pages.
