A member of the Writing and Rhetoric Division, Linda Harris has taught Composition, Introduction to Literature, Currents in American Literature and Technical Writing. Her avocation is Popular Culture, emphasizing detective fiction and atomic culture. She is a past Area Chair of the Detective Fiction section, one of the largest sections of the Popular Culture Association and presents papers at its annual convention. She contributed two critical essays to Great Women Mystery Writers, edited by Dr. Kathleen Gregory Klein.
Ms. Harris has been a member of the Advisory Board for the Alsos Digital Library for Nuclear Issues since its inception. With Dr. Karen Carpenter and Ms. Linda Benson, she was awarded a grant from NCTE. The paper "Democratizing the Classroom" was the result.
