Welcome to the Erickson School's website, a site we hope you bookmark and return to often as we continue to grow.

I am excited to share the news that UMBC’s Erickson School has successfully launched its undergraduate major in the Management of Aging Services. As you know, the program is the first of its kind in the nation and positions the School and our graduates to provide leadership with new perspectives for a changing world of aging.

The program’s unique multidisciplinary approach integrates management, public policy, and human aging. The degree will provide graduates with lifetime career flexibility to take advantage of growing demand in finance, healthcare, marketing and product design, housing development, consumer technology, social services, and public advocacy, among other areas.

All declared majors in the Management of Aging Services will be eligible for $1,000 in financial assistance.  We are also offering a number of other more comprehensive scholarships to our most outstanding students.  Erickson School faculty and staff will work with each student in the program to map out an individualized plan tailored to the student’s specific areas of interest. Students will also benefit from internships and service-learning opportunities, career counseling, and job placement.
