Faculty empowerment through Common Tools (FaCT) is a UMBC initiative to provide training and infrastructure that will make it easier for interested faculty to use technology in their courses. How? By using common software packages, email lists, myUMBC, and electronic reserves in pedagogically meaningful ways.

This web site will be used to keep the campus community informed about the FaCT project and plans for implementation.

FaCT is made possible by a $205,000 grant from the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC).

Steering Chair: Dr. Antonio Moreira
Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.

Principal Investigator: Dr. Roy Rada
Professor, Information Systems
