Programs
Upon
request, the FDC will organize events for the faculty of
any academic department, such as workshops on specific teaching
topics (e.g., discussion leading, testing and grading, increasing
student participation) or other areas of professional development.

Lectures, Workshops, and Reading Groups
The
Faculty Development Center sponsors lectures, reading groups,
and campus-wide workshops on topics of concern to all faculty.
Look for announcements through e-mail and flyers. We welcome
suggestions of interesting topics, books, and speakers.

Teaching and Technology
The
FDC works closely with the Office of Information Technology
to help faculty members incorporate technology into their
courses, including assisting faculty create online or hybrid
course sites using the Blackboard course tool. For more
