Duties:    Research Assistants (RAs) will assist the Lab Director and graduate students in the Culture, Child and Adolescent Development Laboratory on several research projects in the areas of child and adolescent development. RAs will be trained to conduct various research tasks, including literature reviews, participant recruitment for studies, managing databases, and coding of interviews. RAs will also assist with general office related tasks. There will be opportunities to learn valuable research skills and even participate in conference poster/presentations and publications.
     
Required skills:    We require highly motivated, responsible, hardworking, and conscientious (meticulous and detail-oriented) individuals. RAs need to possess excellent communication and computer skills, and be able to work well independently as well as part of a team. Prior research experience and/or a psychology major/minor are/is desirable but not necessary. Intensive training is provided, so students should be able to commit to two semesters. Background in Psychology is desirable, but not mandatory.

Positions Available:    3
Duties:    Serve as initial contact for students, staff and campus community in person and by telephone. Providing information regarding department programs,answering calls, assisting and directing students, distributing mail and materials,courier deliveries throughout the campus; assisting with routine mailings; filing, data entry, and photcopying.
     
Required skills:    Good interpersonal and communication skills, neat appearance, and reliable.Previous experience in an office setting preferred, dependable and highly organized, maturity, discretion, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. Attention to detail is critical, ability to follow directions, operate standard office equipment, and work in a fast pace office.
