Duties:    The mission of the Meyerhoff Scholars Program is to significantly increase the number of research scientists and engineers in the U.S. We are seeking student workers to assist us in recruiting, tracking, and retaining Meyerhoff Scholars. Responsibilities include providing general information to callers and visitors; screening and directing calls; creating, editing, and revising documents, records, spreadsheets, and databases; making on-campus deliveries/retrieving mail; assisting program staff members with special projects; and other general office duties.
     
Required skills:    Must have exemplary customer service skills and a pleasant and professional demeanor. Must be detail-oriented, dependable, able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, and maintain confidentiality of information. Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, database entry, and Blackboard. Must be fluent in English and eligible for employment in the U.S. Must have excellent written and oral written communication skills.
     
Start Date:    Fall semester
Hours per week:    6-10 (depends upon availability and workload
Pay range:    Starts at $8.25 (possibly higher depending upon experience)
