Duties:    -Greet customers and make them feel welcomed as they enter and exit the store -Be knowledgeable about the merchandise and its location in the store in order to locate merchandise if a customer needs assistance or to restock merchandise left at the registers. -Be knowledgeable of services offered by the Bookstore in order to inform customers of such services (Buy Back, Notaries, Rapid Copies, Special Orders, Stamps and Gift Cards) -Be able to find out answers to customer’s questions and know who to contact in each department to do so. -Be knowledgeable of proper use of cash register -Be knowledgeable on how to enter all tender types (Cash, Campus Card, Checks, Credit Cards, Department Charges, Emergency Loans, Gift Cards, Scholarships, Traveler’s Checks etc…) -Be knowledgeable of the stores return policies and procedures -Be knowledgeable about the computer software procedures
Required skills:    • Highly skilled in providing prompt and friendly customer service • Basic knowledge of operating cash register and maintaining cash drawer • Well versed in performing monetary transactions such as giving and receiving change • Able to maintain clean, neat and correctly stocked check stand and safe and secure work area • Able to maintain knowledge of current products

Position:    ComputerSales Associate
Positions Available:    2
Duties:    Occupies the front desk of the computer department. Perform cash register duties for credit, debit, or departmental purchases. Provide sales support to walk-in customers and phone customers. Create orders in the POS system subject to manager approval. Take messages for the manager if requested. Use knowledge of hardware and software for customers seeking assistance with computers and/or techcessories. Restock shelves when necessary. Some deliveries to assorted departments on campus. Help with weekly and yearly inventories.
Required skills:    Knowledge of MAC and WIN computer hardware and software. Ability to lift 40lbs. Cash register experience. Outgoing personality. Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff and students.
