Duties:    To assist the CADVC Exhibition Designer with installation of Exhibits, Design and Construction for displaying and touring exhibitions. Other duties as assigned.
     
Required skills:    Basic Knowledge of using tools, measurements, safety, building, lighting and attention to detail. The ability to work independently with little supervision and must be able to meet specific strict deadlines. Friendly personality and able to work with others on a project.

Hours per week:    10-15

Position:    Curatorial Assistant
Positions Available:    5
Duties:    Support curator of collections and outreach in organizing and promoting exhibitions and programs both on and off campus and online. Assist with other duties as assigned.
     
Required skills:    Required: * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team environment or independently with limited oversight or instruction as needed * Ability to communicate clearly & concisely to a variety of people both verbally & in writing * Ability to handle quickly changing priorities in fast-paced office, gallery, or educational environment * Ability to commit to a set work schedule and be on time * Willingness & ability to learn new skills quickly * Willingness to avoid personal phone calls and texting while working Recommended knowledge, skills, and abilities in one area below: 1. Office: knowledge of general office procedures (faxing, business correspondence, professional phone & email manner, filing, Word, Excel), ability to use a MAC 2. Digital Media: experience with digital photography or video, scanning images, burning data disks, DVDs & CDs, or social media (Facebook, Twitter, blogging, listservs, or websites), ability to use a MAC 3. Outreach: camp counselor or experience teaching children, jr. high/high school students, or senior citizens, experience in leadership positions, public speaking, a demonstrated high level of patience working with the public, interest in or knowledge of social justice issues and the civil rights movement

Position:    Gallery Attendant
Positions Available:    5
Duties:    Greet visitors & guest who enter the gallery space with a pleasant personality, supply them with information on the current exhibition, serve as guard for all art work to ensure no thefts or damages to the artwork occurs. Open and close the exhibition space at the beginning and end of the day, check all equipment to ensure it works properly and shutting equipment off. Inform staff of any problems that may arise. Run errands on campus and other duties as assigned. Gallery Attendants must maintain a professional demeanor at all times while working.
     
Required skills:    Pleasant personality, easy going and gets along with others: must be dependable and responsible for working your shift, showing up on time. Must be conscientious of their responsibility to guard the art work and equipment to deter theft of any kind. An interest in the Visual Arts program is helpful but not required as long as, you have the willingness to learn and grow with the CADVC.

Position:    MAC Computer System Operator
Positions Available:    1
Duties:    Must be skilled to maintain 8 MAC's and 2 PC's with software, installs, Drivers, Scanners, Printers and A/V projects. Have the ability to trouble-shoot when problems arise with computers, printers, the network, etc. Will be responsible for entering a RT ticket to the help desk and to track and follow-up on it until problem is resolved.
     
Required skills:    Previous experience with MAC and PC environments, installing software, drivers, etc. Good communication skills a must, able to work with staff, students and staff from the help desk. Pleasant personality and the ability to work well with others.
