If you care about educational inequality, immigration, the social context of education, or minority students' educational experiences, then this may be the position for you! Our faculty member, Dr. Galindo, does research on these issues and is looking for a student who can assist in her research endeavors. This computer-intensive position requires a high-degree of accuracy and responsibility. Word is the primary software used. |

Comfortable with PCs and working with numbers. (Computational skills are not required, however.) Attention to detail is a must! Previous office experience is not required. |

Duties: |
|
Serve as a courier between offices on campus; scan documents for faculty; perform general office duties such as copying, filing, creating and/or updating Word or Excel files; do on-line or library research; assist with program events; other duties as assigned and depending on the particular skills of the student. |

Required skills: |

We are looking for a dependable team member for our small and friendly department. Our office assistant should care about the details and be willing to learn new skills. No prior office experience is required, but some knowledge of office technologies and machinery, and Word and Excel is helpful. |
