Courses at Other Colleges

On occasion, a student may need to take classes at another institution and under these circumstances may be eligible to receive financial aid at UMBC. The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships uses a Consortium Agreement to provide aid to students for these classes. A Consortium Agreement must be completed by the student and submitted to our office for processing. The two financial aid offices enter into a written agreement where UMBC processes the student’s financial aid and the other institution notifies UMBC of any changes to the student’s enrollment.
