Summer/Winter Aid
Summer Aid 2012
Financial aid for summer sessions may be available for eligible UMBC students that are making satisfactory academic progress (SAP). Students should also meet the following criteria:
- Have a valid 2011-2012 FAFSA on file
- Submit a 2012 Summer Financial Aid Application
to be considered for any type of summer aid
- Applications must be received no later than Friday, May 4th, to have aid evaluated by June 1st
- Applications submitted after May 4th will be reviewed within the turnaround time stated on our homepage
- The final date to submit an application is Friday, June 29th to be considered for summer aid
- Complete the Federal Stafford and/or PLUS loan applications by May 4th if not already on file. Students must be enrolled in at least six (6) credits to be eligible for loans
- All students must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress standards as outlined on our website before aid can be awarded. We will re-evaluate all students once spring 2012 grades have been finalized to determine if aid can be applied to the tuition balance

Winter Aid 2013
Financial aid for the winter session may be available for Pell Grant eligible UMBC students that are making satisfactory academic progress (SAP). Students should also meet the following criteria:
- Have a valid 2012-2013 FAFSA on file
- Be Pell Grant eligible
- Have spring 2013 enrollment of less than 12 credits
- Submit a 2012-2013 Winter Financial Aid Application to be considered for Winter Pell Grant
- Applications must be received no later than Friday, November 16, 2012 for priority consideration
- All students must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress standards as outlined on our website before aid can be awarded
