UMBC students have the unique opportunity to participate in the Army and Air
Force ROTC programs through other area schools.
Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps
Air Force ROTC is available at the University of Maryland, College Park. Juniors
and Seniors at UMBC may complete the two-year program by attending a four-hour
weekly session at College Park. When participating in the four-year program,
students attend classes at College Park once a week, but for fewer hours. For

Army Reserve Officer Training Corps
Two-, three-, and four-year renewable tuition scholarships with book allowances
and monthly living stipends are available through the Johns Hopkins University
Army ROTC program. Military service as a commissioned officer is required upon
graduation. For more information, contact your local Army recruiting officer,
high school counselor, or the Department of Military Science at Johns Hopkins
at 1-800-JHU-ROTC.
