Housekeeping is responsible for the general cleaning of the entire UMBC campus. The academic buildings are cleaned mainly at night, with porters keeping them up during the day. Offices are cleaned once per week according to a schedule. Office trash cans can be placed outside the office at night to be emptied Sunday through Thursday nights.

The Student Work Force is responsible for setting up and breaking down any event on campus where their services are requested. They will also rearrange offices and move furniture out of departmental offices upon request.

Extermination is responsible for the elimination, and control of various pests from becoming detriment to the UMBC community.
