Facilities Management oversees completion of a wide range of campus improvements. Here is a short list of some of the active projects.
Renovations of the Hillside and Terrace Apartment
Students are celebrating the improvements to both the Hillside and Terrace Apartment complexes. The project has transformed the sixteen dated residential structures, created new accessible units, upgraded the building services, and provided new outdoor gathering spaces.

Performing Arts and Humanities Building Phase II Construction
When students return to school in the Fall of 2014 they will be greeted by the completion of the second phase of the Performing Arts and Humanities Building. The latest phase of the project will be adding new classrooms, a new music recital hall, a new dance performance space, as well as offices and teaching spaces for the departments of Music, Dance, Philosophy and Ancient Studies.
Addition to Patapsco Hall and Improvements to Other Residential Buildings
The original residential halls, Potomac, Patapsco, Chesapeake and Susquehanna, built in the 1970's and 1980's, are being renovated and improved. Enhancements are being made to the common areas and lounges, lobbies, shower rooms, elevators, and building systems to make the buildings more accessible, liveable and efficient. A 180 bed addition to Patapsco Hall has been a welcomed addition to the campus.

On-going renovations of classrooms on campus
The last year and a half has brought us renovated classrooms in the Math/Psychology Building and the Fine Arts Building, with improved technology, finishes, lighting and furniture. Some of the classrooms are being equipped with new moveable furniture allowing for flexible seating layouts and greater student collaboration.
New Residential Community Center
Construction is complete on a new Community Center for the West Hill, Terrace and Hillside apartment communities. The building, located on Walker Avenue, features meeting rooms, a lounge, and a community laundromat. The new Residential Community Center is the campus' first complete new building designed to meet the Green Building Council's LEED Silver rating.
