Our campus hosts the headquarters of the Baltimore Ecosystem Study (BES), one of only two NSF-sponsored Urban Long-Term Ecological Research sites in the United States.
	The Joint Center for Earth Systems Technology (JCET) operates under cooperative agreement between the University of Maryland Baltimore County and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).
	The Center for Urban Environmental Research and Education at UMBC was created with initial support from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
