Analyzes, evaluates, compiles and logs many forms of source materials to make revisions on navigational charts, electronic navigational charts (ENCs), Coast Pilot editions, and Notice to Mariners. Prepares files to go to the printer in Microstation in accordance with standards set by the printer. Participates in the clearance process to ensure that all the source materials are applied to the chart. Conducts research for litigation, which includes searching through old charts and notices to mariners. Skills in Cartography and GIS along with Geographic training have provided strong preparation for employment in this field.
