How Can I Support UMBC?
Group Shot

No matter how you are connected to UMBC, your support matters. UMBC has an array of funding opportunities to meet the individual needs of our donors.

Faculty/Staff Campaign
Employees of UMBC already make an important impact in the lives of our students; supporting UMBC with a financial gift is one more important way of making a difference in the lives of others. Even modest gifts add up to help students, faculty and staff succeed. Your gift demonstrates an important vote of confidence in our University and shows our students how much we care about their success at UMBC.

Many faculty and staff choose to support UMBC by setting up payroll deduction through the UMBC Foundation. Click here to download a PDF with complete information about requesting and filling out a card.

GOLD Challenge
Nearly half of UMBC’s 50,000 alumni are Graduates of the Last Decade. The GOLD Challenge is a Facebook/YouTube-based campaign, focusing on raising money for student scholarships and engaging first-time donors in a fun way.

Parents Campaign
UMBC has established a culture of success, where high expectations and a nurturing environment encourage faculty, students and staff to reach beyond the expected. Parents play an important role in the UMBC community, and we are proud to celebrate their participation in the achievements of both our students and the University. The Parents Campaign enhances the involvement from all parents of current students and carries the UMBC tradition forward by providing support to allow the next generation of students to aim high and succeed.

Athletics
The UMBC Athletic Department relies on the generosity of individuals to secure the financial backing necessary for our student-athletes to achieve the highest standards of athletic competitiveness and academic achievement. Gifts made to UMBC Athletics are managed in accordance with the University of Maryland Foundation's official policies and procedures and approved Athletic Department guidelines, and are utilized to expand scholarship opportunities for student-athletes, maintain and improve physical facilities, provide academic support programming and enable UMBC to compete in the America East Conference.

Student Giving Campaign
Graduating seniors and other UMBC students have the opportunity to leave a legacy at UMBC. The UMBC Senior Gift Campaign is an opportunity to pay it forward. All students benefit from alumni support of the UMBC Annual Fund. Student giving ensures that future students have the same support.
