Welcome to UMBC! We are very pleased that you have chosen to pursue your graduate studies here. This orientation website provides much of the information you need to get acclimated to our university community. I encourage you to attend the orientation events offered by the Graduate School and your department since there is so much more that can be learned through personal interactions.

All new graduate students are strongly encouraged to attend orientation. If you cannot attend the New Graduate Student Orientation, you will be responsible for getting information about the material covered at orientation.
