On-campus housing for graduate students is available in the new Walker Avenue Apartments on the corner of Walker Avenue and Hilltop Circle. One wing of the apartment complex is available for graduate students. These are 2- or 4-bedroom fully furnished apartment suites. Several reasonably priced apartment complexes are located in the neighborhoods near UMBC, and many of these are on the UMBC shuttle bus service. In addition, a limited number of apartments near campus have been reserved for fall occupancy for new incoming students. These are two-bedroom apartments for up to four students.
Information about off-campus housing can be obtained from the Off-Campus Student Services Office (The Commons, room 309). There you may obtain listings for local apartment and townhouse complexes, room vacancies, apartments to share, and a roommate referral service. Off-campus housing postings are also available for students online via myUMBC. The Baltimore Collegetown Network also provides information on Baltimore City neighborhoods and offers a roommate matching service.
