Orientation Information
Much of the information you need is covered during the orientation programs held for new graduate students. If you miss these events, you are responsible for following through on Post Orientation next steps. Please review the schedule for orientation by clicking here.
FALL SEMESTER
Orientation programs are offered each August for graduate students entering UMBC in the fall semester. Many departments/programs sponsor an orientation for new students, and these are usually held prior to the first week of classes.
The Office of International Education Services also sponsors a separate orientation for new international students.
Fall orientation will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013.
ONLINE ORIENTATION
For those who were not able to attend orientation in person on August 15th, please check back here for an online version which will be posted after August 15.
Throughout the year several workshops (Success Seminars) are offered to enhance academic and professional success.
