Why UMBC?: After years of contemplating taking the leap, considering Communication, American Studies, Media Studies, Journalism and other PhD programs, I discovered LLC when I was taking a course on McLuhan at Loyola. The interdisciplinary nature of the program allows me to explore all aspects of Media Ecology across a variety of disciplines.
Post-UMBC Plans: Teach, lecture; helping people understand and master the potential and intricacies of language and critically examine how the changing landscape influences the way we think, form meaning and communicate.
