Language is important to Holly, whether it’s helping teach students abroad or communicating on the field with the UMBC Ultimate Frisbee team, BOOYAH. UMBC students form a supportive community with over 200 different student groups including athletic clubs, greek life, hobbies, service, arts, religion, media and culture. Like most UMBC students, Holly is as well rounded as her Frisbee, from studying abroad to her degree in Modern Languages, Linguistics and Intercultural Communication. Her connection with other study abroad students and the supportive English and Linguistics faculty are propelling Holly to fulfill her dream of seeing the world. With one stint in South Africa and planning another this summer, Holly is on her way.
