Like many UMBC students, Yasmin is as dedicated to her studies as she is to the environment. Yasmin works hard on her double majors in History and Geography and minor in Chinese Language along with being a part of the Honors Scholar community. When she isn’t studying the world, she’s working with the diverse and active student groups at UMBC on making it a better place. Yasmin is the Vice President of the Vegetarian Club, a student group that works with local parks to help remove invasive foreign plant species that threaten the local environment. While the world takes up much of Yasmin’s time, she is most proud of her efforts right here in Baltimore helping with her student peers to plan UMBC’s Alternative Spring Break.
