Assessment & Student Activities
There are a variety of activities that can be used to draw the student into these events by focusing on the human aspects of the story. What follows is a list of topics which could be done as individual discussion topics or as a group role playing exercise;

1. Have students investigate the further splintering of the English
Church;

2. Have the students investigate ecumenical endeavors between
Rome & Canterbury;
Vatican II
First Papal visit to England, John Paul II
Advanced students; consider the impact of the recent Vatican
document, Dominus Iesus on ecumenical relations.

3. Have students do a comparison between the theologies of English Protestantism and Continental Protestantism or English Catholicism and Roman Catholicism. They may also compare Anglican eccesiology with Eastern Orthodoxy.
