One of the premier "think tanks" in Washington D.C., CSIS exposes their interns to an environment in which academics, members of the private sector and policy makers and leaders from Washington and abroad analyze the impact of domestic and foreign policy. Interns serve in the following areas: Domestic Policy Issues, Political/Military Affairs, and Regional Studies (Africa, the Americas, Asia, European Studies, the Middle East, and Russia and Eurasia). The center promises interns hands-on learning, with duties including collecting data at government and non-government agencies such as the Library of Congress, the State Department, and Foreign Embassies, researching policy, and organizing conferences and seminars.
