Victor Wexler, Associate Professor of History
Dr. Wexler was a fulltime faculty member in UMBC's Department of
History for many years. His interests and publications focus on
European Intellectual history, the Enlightenment, and the French
Revolution. He offers courses in the the Summer and Winter
sessions as well as at the Universities of the Maryland System
Shady Grove campus. Dr. Wexler is the author of David Hume:
Historian, published by the American Philosophical Society,
and of a seminal article on Rousseau's anti-feminism which
appeared in the American Historical Review. He served as
an Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences for ten
years prior to his retirement in 2006.
