Graduate Horizons--October 28 - 30, 2004
WELCOME

Our Graduate Horizons program is designed to introduce minority students to graduate education and its benefits for your career. As a participant, you will have an opportunity to:

  • talk with individuals who have Ph.D.s in a variety of disciplines about career options,
  • meet with faculty, tour laboratories and talk with current graduate students about their experiences and motivations,
  • attend lively workshops about the process of selecting, applying to, preparing for and succeeding in graduate school,
  • hear a thought provoking and motivational address from our President, Dr. Freeman Hrabowski,
  • experience nightlife at the lakefront in Columbia or the Baltimore Inner Harbor.

In short, you will be challenged to look over your horizons toward the future so that you will give serious consideration to graduate education through the Ph.D. It is our goal to provide you with the knowledge and tools to set your horizons appropriately to achieve your dreams.

Feedback from our events has been quite enthusiastic, and we expect our upcoming program to be even more dynamic. We hope to see you in October!
