RESPONSIBILITIES:The Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) seeks a reliable professional to provide administrative, operational, programmatic, and project management support to the Dean of Undergraduate Education and to OUE programs. Specific duties include: serving as the principal aide to the Dean of Undergraduate Education with responsibility for the Dean’s calendar and schedule, maintenance of the Dean’s correspondence and files, and receiving and reading incoming correspondence; attending and coordinating OUE meetings, including responsibility for follow-through as appropriate; representing the Dean and OUE at student, faculty, and university meetings, task forces, and work groups; preparing and/or contributing to the preparation of OUE reports, handbooks, organizational charts, policy and procedures manuals, briefings, publications, grant applications, and responses to inquiries; managing student and parent inquiries and concerns, including referral and resolution; generating and reconciling budget reports; acting as liaison with the Budget Office and Human Resources; and performing other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in administrative staff work. Must possess the judgment, professionalism, and discretion to manage the Dean and OUE’s contacts with senior university leadership, faculty, staff and students. The ability to present ideas and information clearly and concisely verbally, in writing, and using other media required. Must be proficient in the use of technology and software programs to organize tasks, manage information, and deliver services. Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
SALARY:Pay Range 10 (starting at $32,271) based on a University System of Maryland Pay Program.
