| RESPONSIBILITIES: | The incumbent will provide administrative, advising, and academic support to the program director. Specific duties include: maintaining undergraduate advisement files and coordinating faculty advisement schedules; performing undergraduate graduation reviews; maintaining all required electronic and paper records for budgeting, procurement, human resources, inventory, contract and grant administration for the Program; creating, maintaining, monitoring, and reconciling financial accounts for the Program in a timely fashion; preparing purchase requisitions; ordering supplies and equipment; managing equipment maintenance; maintaining P-card records; assisting the Director in building and maintaining the online course schedule each semester; maintaining the confidentiality of student and personnel records; and performing other duties as assigned. |
| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: | Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Media and Communication Studies or related field and at least two years of experience in administrative staff work. Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks required. Experience with website maintenance and social media desired.

Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

| SALARY: | Pay Range 10 (starting at $32,271) based on a University System of Maryland Pay Program. |
