RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent will provide administrative support for the Director and staff members of the Career Services Center. Specific duties include: overseeing and managing daily reception operations; providing training and supervision to student employees; coordinating student assistant work schedules and assignments; working in direct contact with employers to facilitate collection of payment through invoicing and follow up; generating and reconciling budget reports; processing travel requests; maintaining Visa logs; processing contract renewals and purchase orders; managing a shadow system in QuickBooks; managing the Director’s calendar; ordering office supplies; maintaining confidential files; preparing payroll and human resources documents; and performing other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience: Requires a High School Diploma or GED and three years full time experience providing administrative/secretarial support. Must have excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills. The ability to multi-task and prioritize required. Proficiency in MS Office, email, and calendar management systems is strongly preferred. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and QuickBooks desired. Skills: Requires keyboard skills of a minimum of 40 correct words per minute. Must pass keyboard typing test prior to closing date.
SALARY:Pay Range 9 (starting at $30,305) based on a University System of Maryland Pay Program.
