RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Learning Resources Center (LRC) staff in a highly visible, fast-paced academic support center. Specific duties include: maintaining and updating department databases and records such as those in the Tutoring, First Year Interventions, Supplemental Instruction (SI) and placement testing programs; printing, copying, downloading, and uploading reports; responding to numerous emails, phone calls, RT tickets and correspondence in a timely and professional manner; scheduling appointment tutoring and SI sessions; and performing other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience: Requires a High School Diploma or GED and two years full time experience providing administrative support. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required. Must have strong problem solving and organizational skills. Computer skills and Knowledge of MS Office required. Experience with database systems and PeopleSoft desired. Skills: Requires keyboard skills of a minimum of 40 correct words per minute. Must pass UMBC keyboard typing test prior to hire.
SALARY:Pay Range 8 (starting salary $28,939) based on a University System of Maryland Pay Program.
