|POSITION TITLE:||Facility Coordinator|
|PERSONNEL STATUS:||Exempt, Full-time, Regular|
|DEPARTMENT:||The Commons Administration|
|RESPONSIBILITIES:|| The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day functions of the Operations (Ops) staff and providing oversight to the Campus Information Center (CIC). Specific duties include: providing high quality customer service to patrons utilizing the facilities, services, and events; assisting with project management of The Commons and University Center; managing building security systems; assisting with the inventory and records for cardswipe access control and key control for the facility; recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating student staff of approximately 30 student leaders; providing leadership development opportunities for student staff; executing emergency preparedness plan when needed; acting as liaison to building tenants, Campus Police, and Facilities Management in all facility needs; consulting with senior administrators regarding policies, trends, and interpretation of data and operational needs; preparing reports, recommendations, and other information for the improvement of facilities, services, and operations; and performing other duties as assigned. |
|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:||Education Experience: Requires a Bachelorís degree (Masterís preferred) and experience in a student union/student activities office or related area. Experience in building operations, emergency preparedness, student staff supervision, and customer service strongly preferred. Must have: strong customer service skills; experience hiring, training, supervision, and staff evaluation of student personnel; excellent organizational and information management skills; knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot basic computer and audio-visual equipment; ability to strategically plan, organize and meet long- and short-term goals and objectives; and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Note: Position requires a flexible work schedule, which includes days, evenings and weekends.
