|DEPARTMENT:||Office of the Provost|
|RESPONSIBILITIES:||: The incumbent will report to the Assistant Provost for Financial Management. The position provides financial management and business services support to the Office of the Provost and departments that report directly to the Provost. Specific duties include: managing federal, state, local and foundation-sponsored contracts and grants; managing state, self-support and auxiliary budgets; processing financial transactions; personnel and payroll administration; financial reporting; assisting departments with preparing budget proposals; reconciling and administering existing grants; working with directors and PIs regarding compliance matters and subcontracts; analyzing departmental budgets and expenses; acting as liaison between departments, Financial Services, Office of Sponsored Programs, and Contract and Grant Accounting; and performing other duties as assigned. |
|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:||Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelorís degree in Accounting or related field and at least five years experience in general accounting and/or auditing with at least three years working with grants and contracts. Working knowledge of Federal grant regulations required. Must have excellent verbal and written skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. PeopleSoft Human Resource and PeopleSoft Finance module experience is desired. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required. CPA or MBA preferred.
