|RESPONSIBILITIES:||The Hilltop Institute at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is seeking a SAS Programmer to support the Information Systems and Programming Unit. The incumbent will assume a prominent role in developing and managing multiple SAS programming projects. Specific duties include: developing and maintaining Hilltopís Medicaid databases; performing statistical analysis of large health care datasets; providing technical advice to analysts; reporting findings to internal and external clients; performing SAS programming under a variety of operating systems; and performing other duties as assigned.
Note: This position is grant-funded, wherein employment is contingent upon the renewal of the grant.
|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:||Education/Experience: Requires a Masterís degree in Public Health, Policy, Information Systems or related field and one year experience with SAS programming. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team. Must have excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with SQL and UNIX strongly desired.
Note: A Bachelorís degree in Public Health, Policy, Information Systems or related field and three years of experience with SAS programming may be substituted for Masterís degree and one year experience with SAS programming.
